Cookie policy
This website doesn't use cookies. It only stores a few answers and preferences in your browser so you don't have to repeat them, and doesn't use them to track you.
Cookies
We don't set cookies, ours or anyone else's: no analytics, advertising or social media.
What's stored in your browser
It's kept in your browser's storage (localStorage and IndexedDB). Unlike cookies, it isn't sent with every visit: it doesn't reach us and other websites can't read it.
| Name | What for | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| ccmc-asistente-v1 | Your “Your numbers” answers (where you live, kilometres, insurance…), used to work out prices across the whole site. | Until you delete it |
| ccmc-vistos-v1 | The last 8 cars you looked at, to show them under “Recently viewed”. | Until you delete it |
| ccmc-provincia-v1 | The province you picked for petrol stations. | Until you delete it |
| keyval-store | Only if you read screenshots in the import tool: the text reader's language data, so it doesn't have to download it every time (in IndexedDB). | Until you delete it |
You can clear it all with this button or by clearing this site's data in your browser. The site will keep working; you'll just have to answer again.
Third-party services the site uses
- Petrol station map: the street map comes from OpenFreeMap (OpenStreetMap data), the satellite view from Spain's National Geographic Institute and the terrain from Amazon Web Services. Your browser requests the images from them directly, so they receive your IP address, like any website you visit.
- Reading screenshots in the import tool: the program that reads the text and its language data are downloaded from jsDelivr the first time you use it. The image is read in your browser and never sent.
- The eco sticker and number plate report lookups are done by our server: your browser doesn't connect to the DGT or our vehicle-data provider. The garage search runs in your browser with OpenStreetMap data served from this site.
- The site's fonts, images and data are served from our own domain.
- Links to other websites (Google Maps, listing portals, the DGT…) only open them if you click, and their own policies apply there.
We don't pass them any of your data. If any of them uses its own technical cookie to serve its files, its own policy applies.
Why is there no cookie banner?
Because what we store only lets the site remember what you've done on it, stays in your browser, isn't used to track you or for advertising, and you can clear it whenever you like. If we ever add analytics or advertising that stores anything in your browser, we'll ask your permission first.
