What this site is

Cuánto Cuesta Mi Coche works out what it costs to own a car in Spain (fuel, insurance, road tax, ITV, maintenance, tyres and depreciation) and offers other car calculators. It's free and you don't need to sign up. It may include sponsored spaces, which are marked as such.

The figures are estimates

All figures are rough estimates, built from public data and the assumptions we explain in our methodology. They're not a quote, an official valuation, or tax, financial, legal or insurance advice. Before buying, selling, signing up or paying a tax, check with the right people: the seller, your insurer, your town hall, the Tax Agency or the DGT.

We take care to keep the data accurate and up to date, but it may contain mistakes or have changed. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for any damage arising from using it without checking. If you spot a mistake, let us know and we'll look into it.

How we calculate

Terms of use

Using the site means accepting this notice. You're free to use it, always lawfully. You may not:

  • use it for unlawful purposes or in ways that harm other people;
  • try to damage or overload it, or access parts that aren't public;
  • download its content in bulk or by automated means to reuse it without our permission.

We may change the site, its tools and this notice when needed. The version published on this page always applies.

Intellectual property

The site's text, design, illustrations, logo and code belong to Cuánto Cuesta Mi Coche or their authors and may not be copied or reused without permission. You're welcome to link to the site, quote it and share your results, saying where they come from.

The public data we use belongs to the bodies that publish it (European Environment Agency, government ministries, the Tax Agency, the DGT and town halls) and is reused under their terms. The maps use OpenStreetMap data and the PNOA aerial imagery from Spain's National Geographic Institute. Car brands and logos belong to their owners and are only used to identify each model.

Links to other websites

We link to other people's websites: listing portals, public bodies and our data sources. We don't control them and aren't responsible for what they publish. If you see a link to anything unlawful, let us know and we'll remove it.

Governing law

This notice is governed by Spanish law. If you're a consumer, you can go to the courts where you live.
