Auto+ Programme
OpenThe national grant that replaces MOVES III. It's given by the Ministry of Industry on a first-come, first-served basis. Maximum per car: 4.500 € for individuals, 6.000 € for self-employed and micro-enterprises and 4.500 € for other companies.
How it's calculated (added up)
- 50% of the maximum if it's electric; 25% if it's plug-in or extended-range.
- 25% if it costs up to €35,000 before VAT; 15% from €35,000 to €45,000. Anything pricier gets nothing.
- 15% if it's assembled in the EU and a further 10% if the battery is assembled in the EU (Ministry's White List).
Requirements
- ZERO sticker: electric, or plug-in with 40 km or more of range.
- New and registered in Spain from 1 January 2026 (or a demo or zero-km car registered from 2025, with an invoice dated within the last 12 months).
- A dealership discount of at least €1,000 (before VAT) on the invoice, labelled Auto+. Not required if you bought before 4 August.
- One car per person; you must keep it in your name for 2 years.
- Can be combined with other grants up to 80% of the price.

How to apply
- On the Ministry of Industry's grants website, with an electronic signature. Normally the dealership does it on your behalf.
- You need the final technical data sheet and registration document (permiso de circulación), the invoice showing the discount, proof of payment and a certificate for your bank account.
- Your grant is reserved when you submit it. After the decision, it's paid into your account by bank transfer: it's not a discount at the dealership.
Watch the budget: the individuals' line has 350 million and is handed out first come, first served. In mid-September the press reported about half of it as already committed; the Ministry doesn't publish the balance. If it runs out, you go on a waiting list with no guarantee.
